The Book Wisdom Dips is a book for anyone that thinks, lives and has a soul. For reaching heights of Truth no stone is left unturned in this book. Wisdom Dips states it as is and reserves no time for dogmatic wrangling, its not another theory but living truth that is embedded in each and every word. Wisdom Dips encourages the reader to look at life and live on a deeper more inquiring level. As we all hit obstacle thoughts from time to time not knowing how to think or get through these heavy jammed roads that block our flow - Wisdom Dips was written to guide, to reinstate that flow, to unblock that traffic jam of thoughts. With a mixture of the profound and light-hearted witticisms the reader will not feel a sense of inadequacy but rather a living appreciation of what and who they really are, where they come from and where they are going. Thinking
being our key to inner and outer truth is explained and developed with
imaginative detail and insight not seen in many books before. Intuition,
the ego and transcendence are explained. The unconscious workings, instincts
and dreams are journeyed through. The nature of the soul is explained,
the workings of karma, demons, impulses, feelings, emotions and the
meanings that lie within them. Dualities and the forever illusive meanings
behind them such as love and hate, good and evil, happiness and sadness
just to name a few are unmasked. Ethics past, present and the new future
for ethics can be found here. No more dogma and the restricting of the
human spirit as the old law tables are taken down and a new one has
emerged. Reviews Belfast Film Festival -'This book is amazing, everything in it I could relate to and more'. BIFA and IFTA award winner, actress Susan Lynch. Wisdom Dips is without a doubt the most exhilerating read of 2005 for anyone who is thinks, lives and has a soul. I most of enjoyed Eddie's explanation of the nature of the soul which had a profound on my own personal life to the point now where I value every day more so than I did previously'. Kevin Cotter, Teacher, Portsmouth England - 'I have read many books in my time but this one has been and still is a real eye opener. It has become a great source of inspiration and a reference book for many life situations. It's more than a book, its a revolution!'. Book extracts Thinking, the ego, duality, Transcendence and intuition I am an “I”. I am an “I” for in my thinking I am the observer and the observed. Thinking is the elemental counterpart of the “I”, the “I” being the me of me. “I” is the core essence of my being. As things come and go the “I” still remains, “I” is always there. The Great Contradiction No duality can exist without its opposite. One needs the other otherwise it will cease to be. The conscious needs the unconscious, where one duality reigns its other will appear as a shadow of it, but to repress its shadow is only to contradict its very own essence. We can be conscious in the unconscious in the dream world and unconscious in the conscious one through daydreams. We see good in evil and evil in good - a Great Contradiction. The Art To Nietzsche “art is the highest task and the genuinely metaphysical activity of this life”. In The Birth of Tragedy Nietzsche exemplifies the dual pairing of the two fundamental artistic impulses, the Dionysian and the Apollonian. The dual pairing of these artistic impulses are taken from the Classical Greek culture of the gods: Dionysus and Apollo. Nietzsche states that art is bound to these artistic energies where the Dionysian is the non-imagistic form of art and the Apollonian the producer of the imagistic form of art. Dionysus is the god of chaos, excess and ecstasy; he has the intensity to break all limits of individuality and the external constraints of custom. To Nietzsche Dionysus is the all-affirming god that transfigures life’s justification. The Dionysian is the natural art state that is all one, no divisions and thus no knowledge of the instinctual and the intuitive. Through the Dionysian, nature celebrates its oneness with man, a union that brings out the gentle side of the Dionysian. To contradict this state of union or the reinstatement of it, is to dismember man, bringing out the most terrible that inflicts an occurrence upon the individual that hangs him over the abysmal. The Dionysian brings the exuberance of life within its tendencies but also a dark extreme element that puts the individual at risk, the Dionysian reflects the chaos that exists in every life form. The Artistic perspectiveSince life is for living Artistic ethics deals with flow. Flow is flourishing, evolution, the inner pulses of nature, flow is life itself and to contradict this flow is to contradict life itself. If there is no flow there is no go. Life is a continuum of complementary and contradictories; this is the natural flow of nature. Dual opposites that attract each other work along this design. When the complementary has reached an extreme of itself where it no longer complements, the contradictory comes into play to issue forth new life and impetus. Artistic ethics deals with time, direction and meaning, flow works in conjunction with these concepts. Individual Artistic ethicsTo be mindful or aware of flow is to take responsibility for your actions. Flow is the key to discovering ones pattern in life and their inherent meaning to existence. Flow guides a person along a pathway that leads to greater understanding of the Art and their own Art. Our concepts that stand out amongst the rest hold our interest’s, to follow the flow our interests attract is to follow a path that’s linked to our Artistic Image, our ultimate potential design. We follow this path to wherever it leads. The principle of ‘forward movement’ will be our guide, ‘forward movement’ is that which is flowing, if there is no flowing taking place there is no forward movement. No forward movement results from either a wrong move taken by the individual, a wrong time for such a move or wrong place or object the move is heading towards. The closer we follow the flows movement the more we will understand where it is taking us and so the more in tune we will be with our soul and Artistic within. This connection to our soul and Artistic within is vital for knowing when to turn off a certain pathway to a more inviting or complementary one to our ultimate design. This is where our thinking “I” has to be sharp and tune in with its fellow compatriots, them gut feelings within that swirl around the all-foreseeing anticipatory part of the soul that knows all too well. If one does get lost, don’t despair for every wrong road leads to a right one. Regroup is the forecast, get back to sensing your innermost pulses, start to instigate on behalf of your instincts and re-connect with some sort of flow to find that turn off that leads you back on track. A vision is always helpful even if it’s only of a temporary design; also a firm taste of the life-spirit helps one attract the Artistic flow of energies if all seems stagnant. Universal Artistic ethics Ethics at the moment deals with the motive behind an action and the consequences therewith. What is a motive exactly? Well a motive is something willed by the individual through thought. The will is essentially a vast of primal potential within a persons being. When we are led to act by a thought we harness that potential, we will it, motive is the instigator that harnesses that potential. The will itself is free, pure and untainted, the individual is the one that utilizes that potential through thought, this is why its of the utmost importance to educate the thinking “I” to think in a way that is pure, alive and free, practically at one with its potential and power it has at its disposal. For the thinking “I” to become constrained through egoistic limitations and perversions of the original nature and essence of things is to block the natural course of flow, thus perverting it.
The Trickster exposes the illusionary, the old the static, sometimes the Trickster plays the comical fool in order to give light to that which is repressed. When one duality suppresses its opposite, the Trickster comes in to rectify that unbalance, to draw one out of the extreme and give new life a chance to form through the complementary and contradictory context. If someone becomes too much of themselves, too critical of everything outside of itself, be sure the Trickster will bring them down from the extreme aloof clouds. The once stern critic of foolishness will fall under a fools spell so that the Artistic balance is re-established. The Trickster is also a lover of symbols when playing in the without, and a lover of putting you on the spot, mostly harmless ones so that you’re the instrument for a truth to be told. In these situations it is fair to say ones actions are not entirely willed when the Trickster is at play like this, unwilled actions do happen and for a reason if not karmic-ally toward yourself. The reason why the Artistic works through you like this is because of the attraction of your Artistic qualities to grow the fruit of new Art or there is a particular truth to be told, if not directly but indirectly. Symbols are all around, one just has to pick up on them, not too much on the way or the ego becomes suspicious and paranoid that leads to dangerous assumptions. To fully understand good and evil, love and hate, one must understand why they are Artistically drawn to each other and their inherent meaning that lies between them, that potential that gives rise to and draws from. The soul is where you find out why people are drawn towards each other, the Artistic decides on the point of departure if there is one. This is the Artistic law of all dualities and its not until we have grasped this can we fully have an ethical approach to anything. Dips To keep our Artistic wits sharp we always stand amidst at the crossing, the Great crossing of extremity. In one small move with one small step we can walk along the line of extremism. We can go towards the chaotic extremes of dark abysmal holes of the demons own making or be blinded by the light of aloofness where devious demons are close at hand to offer fools gold. To build up a protective shield towards entering the extremes we experience the way of the Artistic through the expansion of the Artistic ring. Every Artistic context that exists between every duality that we evolve on we expand and protect ourselves from the extreme pulls thus becoming stronger Artistically and more of oneself free from the demonic and out of context pulls. The Artistic Impulse resides in all places where duality exists. Where there is opposing energies held in tension the Artistic will be. A tension that keeps the opposites in motion, a regenerative unity that raises the Artistic to a transfiguring level whereupon it will incite the contradictory elements, giving birth to new and more powerful forms of Art. The test of true love is to let go, to give your all, leave no stone unturned, to let all passions have their freedom of soul. This is the test of true love, for true love is an endless fall. Not to feel that falling feeling is to hit, land or encounter something, a something that is contradictory to your fall, your true love. Wittgenstein said, “To imagine a language is to imagine a form of life”. Our inner mechanisms have the psychic content to create patterns and sentences. We can give life to sentences with meaning and imagery. To talk ‘shit’ is to have no meaning, no pattern and no imagery. Is ‘man the measure of all things’, or is the Art the measure of all things or perhaps is the Art the measure of man. Only when a trend is followed continuously can the results of ones particular actions be assessed whether they take a step toward harmony or disharmony, fortune or misfortune. The way of the Artistic. More book extracts can be found at google book search http://books.google.com/ just type in 'Wisdom Dips' to the search. |
